Prof. Nia Barnett

Managing Principal/Founder

Professor Nia Barnett is an interdisciplinary scholar whose work bridges the fields of psychology, organizational systems, and biomedical science to advance global health innovation. With advanced academic training in psychology and a deep commitment to understanding human behavior, she brings a systems-level perspective to scientific research, health promotion, and translational medicine.

In 2021, she completed the Human Pluripotent Stem Cell Culture Laboratory Post-grad Program at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Stem Cell Research and Technology Resource Center. This hands-on program provided rigorous scientific training in stem cell biology, laying the groundwork for her continued work in regenerative medicine and cellular research.

By integrating behavioral science with cellular and regenerative technologies, Professor Barnett explores how scientific discoveries can be more effectively translated into real-world health solutions. Her research interests lie at the intersection of biology and human systems—examining how innovations in stem cell science and regenerative medicine can align with human-centered approaches to healthcare, policy, and organizational change.

This interdisciplinary approach directly supports the vision and mission of the World Health Organization, especially in advancing equitable, science-driven strategies for health promotion and disease prevention. Her work aligns with the WHO’s call for cross-sectoral collaboration and innovation to address complex global health challenges—combining laboratory science with psychological insight to drive inclusive, sustainable impact.

As a member of the Global Health Promotion Hub, Professor Barnett is committed to fostering knowledge exchange and collaborative research that reflects the interconnectedness of biological, behavioral, and social determinants of health.
